At six years old, Nahush Kumar wasn't learning music. He was living inside it — humming film songs between meals, making up verses between verses, entirely unaware he was composing. His mother heard something in it that he couldn't yet name. She enrolled him in Carnatic classical vocal training, and everything that followed was built on that foundation.

College brought a guitar — self-taught, imperfect, and completely his own. It became the instrument through which he bridged two worlds: the discipline and depth of classical Indian music, and the emotional immediacy of contemporary sound. Today his compositions begin acoustically and arrive as ambient synthwave and soft-rock — warm at the root, cinematic at the surface.

He performs in Hindi, English and Kannada. He sings originals and songs people thought they'd forgotten. His shows aren't about getting the room loud. They're about getting the room still — and then, quietly, moving everyone in it.
